#45 - Grrr - July 17, 2012

I missed daily entries for about 2 weeks. Entry #44 to #55 is out of order, but they will all be posted on the same day. So if you are confused, check the date and that’s probably why.

Today was a not very good, very bad, completely negative day. The hotel room is too cramped for any of us to deal with for long. We were only able to endure it because we “know” that we’ll be out of here tomorrow.

Except that we won’t be moving out tomorrow.

I got home from work, and Katrina was really stressed out. We talked for a while, and I took the kids out to see a movie (“Brave”, very good, really funny and heartwarming) while Katrina had some time to herself. After the movie, we went to Wal-Mart for dinner. I figured we could do a place with real food (I’m done with Wendy’s for a while, and Taco Bell as well) or we could spend the same money, walk through the grocery store, and get almost whatever-the-heck we wanted. While we were out, I got a call from our realtor. The title had more issues on the seller’s side, and they sounded complicated.

So we got nectarines, bananas, blueberries, chips, a dozen donuts, dinner rolls, Gatorade and juice, cheez whiz and Ritz, and a couple other things. We took the entire looted booty to the hotel room, spread it out, and ate. It was nearly heavenly. You see how low our standards have become?

At any rate, Katrina was feeling a little better when we got home. I wanted to move into our house and just stay there. I have already started our homeowner’s insurance and utilities, so all the bills associated there are being paid by us. Why shouldn’t we live there?

But Katrina was concerned about moving in before we had permission, and so she asked me to extend our hotel reservation.
